20-30’ ht. Smooth, attractive, gray-brown trunk, with a crown of fan-like, minutely toothed fronds. Small, dark fruits. Prefers dry areas. Tough- will grow in sand, soil, or cinder. Prefers 0-300’ elevation. Sun/ part shade. Slow growing, but may be fertilized for faster growth.
